Will and Kim and the cutest!!  I know I have a few engagement sessions to catch up on here… but since it’s been just about a month since my last post, (I know, I don’t get the award for best blogger of the year now – sad), I thought I’d start with something brand new!  Also, I happen to LOVE everything about this engagement session!!  Thank you Will and Kim for being so in love, so sweet (and sweaty – it was 90 degrees that day!) and just so darn cute – I can’t wait for the wedding!

I think Will might kill me for putting the photo below on this blog, but it makes me laugh so hard… I just couldn’t skip it!  You guys are just awesome : )

Also…. it took me a few scrolls through the blog post to find this, but I just about teared up when I read this last little section on GWS this morning.  Getting a nice note back from a bride or groom really makes my job worth it.  I’m sure most of you can agree on just how wonderful it feels to know that all effort you’ve put into your talent and work has made other people happy.  I want so badly for my photographs to bring joy and sweet memories back for generations, and to find this little note written by Brooke at the end of the post just made my whole career … worth it.  Thank you Brooke.

I have been waiting a long, long time to share this wedding with you and I couldn’t be more excited for today!!  Today Nick and Amanda’s wedding is featured on 100 Layer Cake, (here & here), and today I get to go a little crazy and post a million images that have been hiding on my computers hard drives for far too long now… enjoy this gorgeous wedding and make sure to take a look at all of the talented individuals who contributed at the end of this post!  Nick and Amanda, you had a truly beautiful ceremony and a gorgeous day to remember for a long time to come…

Did I mention that Amanda is also the super genius behind Untamed Petals?!  If you haven’t heard of her shop before, you need to go check it out!  She is one incredibly talented lady!  So many of the embellishments you see sparkling throughout the wedding details were HANDMADE by the bride!  From the bride: “Nick and me met while working at VH1 – I was a production assistant (my first job out of college) and Nick was my accountant. We had an instant connection and we knew so early on that this was it. After 5 wonderful years my best friend presented me with the most beautiful ring while walking along the river and finally asked me to marry him.”

Congratulations Nick & Amanda!!  Your wedding was a non-stop thrill for me to shoot – I know I had the time of my life photographing the details, but aside from all that, you two were so genuine in your love for each other it was hard to stop photographing every moment!  I hope you enjoy these memories!

Brooke and Jason are getting married THIS Saturday!  (at a particularly awesome location too – Union Hill Inn in Sonora, CA!)  This couple is beautiful inside and out, they are truly so much fun to be around and I can’t wait to photograph their gorgeous wedding this weekend!  Oh lucky me : )  Love you guys, early congratulations and I’ll see you soon… !!!

Lindsey and Ossama have the kindest hearts, they are truly in love with each other and their easy going attitude and willingness to laugh at anything (see later photos…) cannot be matched.  I had so much fun taking photos of these two and following them around on their wedding day.  What a beautiful day it was in a private vineyard setting!  Big barn, check, stripped straws and mason jars, check, beautiful lacy wedding dress and a reception hall that looks like a fairy tale came true, check.  It was gorgeous, but I think the sweet smiles and spirit of this couple and their truly loving friends and family really made the day – perfect.

STORY TIME.  That’s when I get to stop the nice flow of this beautiful wedding to tell a true story.  Stop peeking ahead.  Right after that vineyard shot I spied a beautiful garden with wildflowers galore and a sweet little wooden bench – the perfect place to take some close-ups of this cute couple.   Ossama was nice enough to tread into the garden a bit and grab me my prized wooden bench – and and on the way out, kicked, tripped, elbowed, I’m not sure, (does it matter?), an irrigation pipe!  Water was everywhere in seconds – spewing IN. THE. AIR. All over Lindsey and Ossama.  I literally froze and after what seemed to be a full minute of me standing there saying (out-loud mind you), “what do I do? What do I do?”, Lindsay and Ossama had to pull me out of my shock by saying, ‘well you might as well take a picture of it!’  Look at these faces?!  Now do you know what I mean about loving this couple to death?  They are THE BEST.

Lindsey’s dress was blow-dried, make-up was touched up and to this moment I still believe that no hair was hurt on account of the irrigation spewage.  Phew.  You guys earn the most jolly couple of the year award!
